Macomb Commons Project Continues

The Ile Camera: Work continues this week at the corner of Meridian and Macomb. Supervisor Kurt Kobiljak said yesterday that the area, which will be used for Chair-Arty, will be ready for IslandFest weekend. "I was told today that the charity event will go on and it will be finished," he said. This weekend, residents can use the sidewalks and the gazebo, but people will be asked to stay off the sod, he said. Some finishing touches will be completed later. When the project, which is paid for by captured funds from the Downtown Development Authority, is completed, the park is expected to be more inviting to residents.
